Tantalum is of moderate hardness, ductile and can be drawn into thin foil. The coefficient of thermal expansion is very small. Tantalum has excellent chemical properties and corrosion resistance. It can be used to make evaporator, etc., also can be used as electrode, rectifier, electrolytic capacitance of electron tube.
